1-7-26   THOUGHTS

“Tribulation with joy of the Holy Spirit” is an interesting phraseology.  Rom 8:18   “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”  The “sounding forth of the word of the Lord...”  from these is most admirable.  They “turned to God from  idols  to serve a living and true God,...”  They “waited!”
Jesus is our great RESCUER!

1Thes 1:6-10    You also became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much tribulation with the joy of the Holy Spirit,  7  so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia. 8  For the word of the Lord has sounded forth from you, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone forth, so that we have no need to say anything. 9  For they themselves report about us what kind of a reception we had with you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,  10  and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is
Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come.

Our Prayer:
It is with thanksgiving that we come into your presence glorifying Your name.  We praise You and honor You our God.  Help us to turn from this world and serve You the Living and True  God.   You have saved us in Jesus, and we are so grateful to be Your adopted children.  We beg for a closer walk with You.   In the name of Jesus we pray,   Amen.
